i love tags... muchly

Bella of To Say Nothing of Reality tagged me! *fistpump*

So, instead of the (rather boring) post that I was planning on doing today, I'll just reply to her tag. : )

1) Will you watch black-and-white movies?

Oh, yes. They're amazing! Sure, I prefer movies in color, but I think that a lot of the better movies (with better morals, actors, stories, etc) are in black-and-white – Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, You Can't Take it With You, It's a Wonderful Life, Cyrano de Bergerac. (If you haven't already, go watch all of those. Post haste.)

2) If you could choose between Middle Earth and Narnia where would you go?

Dare I even try to choose?! *sigh* Fine.

Let's see.... I think it would depend on when. If Faramir were still alive, then I'd go to Middle Earth. He's the only reason I watch Lord of the Rings now. XD

And it depends on who's in Narnia – all of the Pevensies? Or Eustace and Jill? Or Diggory and Polly? Or Shasta and Aravis? Or somewhere in between? You have to keep all those factors in mind!

In the end, though, I think I'd choose Narnia, partially because I'd love to just walk around and stumble upon places in the books – Cair Paravel, anyone?! – and partially because I'd love to meet people and see all of the creatures with my own eyes. That would be amazing.

3) What is one place you'd like to visit?(or revisit as the case may be)

SCOTLAND!!!!! (This is a visit, not a revisit.) My revisit place would be Washington, D.C. There was way too much to see in only ten days, and it was even harder to process when I was eleven! Or Disney. (Yes, I'm eighteen and want to go to Disney. Your point is?)

4) You discover a dragons egg under your bed. What is the first thing you do?

Shriek hysterically. Then claim it as my own and have an internal debate as to what to name it when it hatched. Probably Ciara, after Aaron's dragon. (From Aaron's Journey, that novel I keep telling you guys about. Toying with the idea of rewriting it... for the third time.)

5) How would you describe a hero?

Percy and Knightley and Alf all rolled into one. : ) Seriously, though, a hero is someone who is sacrificial – someone who puts others' needs above his own. Someone who will do anything necessary to achieve his goal. (And, in doing so, not only rescues the princess, but wins her heart as well.)

6) Do you like acting and if so, would you take an acting class with me?

Ooh, yes, please!! There was a time when I dreamed about acting, but now I'm only thinking about writing screenplays. Methinks an acting class would help my writing.

*takes freshly baked, gluten-free (and still delicious!) peanut butter cookie break*

7) What is your favorite type of book?

A good one. Lots of action, suspense, and mystery, a very creepy bad guy, an awesome hero, and a girl. So that there can be a hint of romance. : ) If you don't believe that all this can be put into one book, go pick up something by Wayne Thomas Batson. Remember that name – WTB, author of awesomeness known as The Door Within Trilogy, The “Isle” Books (Isle of Swords and Isle of Fire), The Berinfell Prophecies, and The Dark Sea Annals. All are good and highly recommended to all who read this post!!!

8)Do you carry/own a sonic screwdriver?

Sadly, no. But I know a few guys who do.... : )

9) Would you run away with Peter Pan?

Maybe... if only to see if I can kill Hook all by me onesies. (Savvy?)

10) Do you like the old, legend-like fairy tales?

Eh... not really. I like Disney fairy tales, though!

11) What is the craziest thing you've ever done?

Written fifty thousand words of my novel in one month. That was insane – and I absolutely mean it. I don't think I'll be able to do it again (until June, that is).

Ask me again in about two months and I'll tell you, “Edit my novel.”

Thank you so much for tagging me, Bella! That was so much fun!!

To be on the weird side (or just be me), I'm going to tag all of my readers without blogs. That means Haley and Elinor and anyone else who wants to! Below are your questions. Leave your answers in the comment section. Can't wait to read them!

  1. Have you ever done something so crazy that you know you'll never do it again?

Ooh, I've seen all those movies except Cyrano de Bergerac. I LOVE Jimmy Stewart!

I'd choose Middle Earth. And WOOT! Another Faramir fan! He is my fav'rite. There was NOT enough of him in the movies. At ALL.

Good choice, Scotland. :) Since I've gone there already, mine would be Italy next.

OOh, I want to read Aaron's Journey. He has a DRAGON? Much envy. I'd name mine Smaug. :)

Faramir is my Hero. And Watson. The BBC one. Best. Watson. EVER! And Eliot Spencer, from Leverage. And, yanno, Doctor Who.

I would not act. I cannot. I freeze.

Those book recommendations sound amazing. Fantasy, perchance? I lurve Fantasy.

I want a sonic screwdriver! Eleven's, please.

Tell me when you've killed Hook. I'll applaud you, Captain Jack Sparrow.

The old fairy-tales can be creepy, can't they? Ever heard of the Girl With No Hands one? Seriously disturbing. :)

OOOH! NANO WRITER! I love you. :)

You are very welcome. I LOVE your blog :)

I couldn't resist - I think Loki is just cute. his smile is so amazing and so is his character. There were times when I thought "JERK!" but overall? *Grin* LOVE. AND Tom Hiddleston is amazing. I would watch "War Horse" again just to see his 15-20 minute role in it :')

I also want to say that I am so "Into" Doctor Who and Merlin that I am called odd by my Whovian sisters. but my love for acting really freaks my family out. They are like "Yikes. Who is this young girl and how does she fit into this family?" my sisters are all quiet, shy classical singers who Do Not Act. I am a bold, wild actress. I am weird. YAY!!!

God Bless!

Haley - : ) Awesome answers. Totally agree with your laundry one (except I do all my own laundry, so the only person I have to get mad at is myself...) and I love your verse!! Just memorized Psalm 130 and am working on Psalm 139 (probably my favorite psalm ever!).

Katrina - I've only seen the old Cyrano de Bergerac from 1950 with Jose Ferrar. Loved it!! And, yes, Jimmy Stewart is amazing!!

No, there was NOT!! Literally like TWO scenes in RotK! My only pet peeve of those movies. : )

You've been to Scotland?! Whoa.... : )

I might post an excerpt for you! I started it a long time ago but still love it. And, yes, he has a dragon. An awesome dragon. : ) SMAUG!! COOL!!

I want to see Sherlock soooo bad.... Working on getting it from Netflix. : )

HA! I probably would, too. I do better in my own room. : )

YES! WTB does amazing fantasy. He's the best. Check him out asap. : )

Me, too!!!

Hahahaha.... Okay! : )

They are! My younger sister loves them and has told me the creepiest ones. I think I've heard that one... yuck. : P

HA! Yeah, I'm weird. : D

Bella - Thank you!! : )

HA!! I can't decide. He's too evil to be cute, but not evil enough to be EVIL, if you know what I mean. : ) YES!! Me, too. I was SO bummed that he died! I was like, "Whaaaaat?!"

Me, too! I feel like it's me and my youngest brother who are adopted. His skin color is different, so that's obvious, but I'm just different from everybody else, so I must be adopted, too! Family secrets, you know.... : D

Thanks for the comments!! I love them more than I love tags. : )

I wrote these over the course of two days when I could snatch time so some of it might be disjointed. If you have any questions or want be to elaborate more, let me know. Great idea!! Hope you enjoy. ;-)

Love, Elinor

•Have you ever done something so crazy that you know you'll never do it again?
Rode on a water roller coaster at Sea World that scared the life out of me when I was 9 years old. It consisted of literally falling straight down in a pitch black tunnel while the “boat” we were on turned to a 45 degree angle with the ground…never again! (in case you didn’t know, I’m not a roller coaster person.)

•Who is your favorite literary hero/heroine?
That would be a hard one since I’m such a book worm. I’m assuming you mean fiction, so it would have to be…hmmm…probably The Swamp Angel (I can’t remember her actual name…might be Alice...The Swamp Angel is just what Freckles calls her.) from Freckles by Gene Stratton-Porter. If you haven’t read that book, PLEASE do. And the “sequel” A Girl of the Limberlost. The main character of that book, Elinor Comstock, is probably right behind The Angel in favorite literary heroines.

•Have you ever read a book by Wayne Thomas Batson???
Sorry, but no. What would be your top recommendation?? If you can choose only one. ;-)

•What is your favorite kind of cookie?
I have two…the first is probably one that you’ve never had before…I don’t even know the name of it. We have a Russian neighbor whose mom visits every so often from Russia and hardly speaks any English. She makes us these amazingly delicious little cookies that she won’t give us the recipe for. They are these little pastry-type cookies with a fruit jelly filling and topped with powdered sugar. Delicious!! The second would be no-bake cookies because I love chocolate and peanut butter and oatmeal all put together!! *grin*

•Do you think that Loki is evil, or just cute?
Please don't look askance at me...but who??

•Have you ever been so “into” something (such as a hobby or book or movie) that it scares your family, especially parents? Do tell!
I don’t think so…I know that one time I determined to read through the entire Bible in 45 days and spent hours reading a day…my parents were a little surprised I think at my sudden avidity and doing nothing but read, read, read…but I met my goal with one day to spare!!

•Do you hate kittens?
Hate is a pretty strong word…I would say I definitely dislike cats and kittens in general as I had a very bad experience with some when I was a wee little lassie. (Is that Scottish??) plus my dad is severely allergic to them.

•Do you agree with me that War Horse seemed a lot like Black Beauty?
Haven’t seen War Horse. :-/

•Which do you like more – folding laundry or washing dishes?
Washing dishes without a doubt. Don’t know why, but I do.

•What is your most-accessed video (or channel or playlist) on YouTube?
I don’t spend much time on YouTube right now…but previously I watched PianoGuys a good bit…thanks to the recommendation of a certain person. ;-) (hint, hint)

•When was the last time you memorized a Bible verse and what was it?
How about the first two chapters of Titus?? :-) Our church has been studying Titus, so I decided to work on memorizing it. It’s amazing how much we are capable of remembering when we ask God to help us!!

Elinor - YAY FOR LONG COMMENTS!!!

- I'm not a rollercoaster person, either.... : P I've been to Six Flags a few times with friends, but have never been on a rollercoaster. : D

- I LOVE THAT BOOK!! You told me to read it *years* ago and I did and loved it and bought it. I liked A Girl of the Limberlost, too. : )

- Hummm.... I don't know! I think, series-wise, I like his Isle books best - Isle of Swords and Isle of Fire. The Door Within Trilogy is good, too, but it's a little younger level, if you know what I mean.

- Yummy cookies! And my younger sis just made no bake cookies earlier today (right before Arwen made chocolate chip cookies and I made a chocolate cake. All for separate things!).

- Loki is from The Avengers. Good movie.

- NICE!! You sent me that list... I think I got through two days. : P

- I love cats. : )

- I sort of liked it.... Especially the John Williams soundtrack!!!

- Same.

- Me, neither, kinda, but PianoGuys is a good way to spend it!!! (And haha on that hint, hint...)

- Awesome! Amen! : )

Loved your answers!!!
